We deliver our services in the form of mobile intervention sessions consisting of surgery’s run at various locations across the county, short work experience programmes, one day workshops and one to one drop-in information sessions.
Role Description:
The Administration assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services by implementing administrative systems, procedures and policies and monitoring projects in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
Main Activities:
- Creating and amending documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Type and maintain correspondence, reports, databases and other documents
- Create and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices
- CRM database & relationship management
- Answer telephone and take appropriate messages
- Reception duties such as greeting visitors and register their visit accordingly
- Open and distribute the mail
- Take minutes at meetings
- Distribute minutes
- Coordinate repairs to office equipment
- Organisation diary management, managing key dates: insurance renewals, membership renewals etc
- Support general office administration
- Maintain manual and cloud files
- Support with organisation compliance and reporting
Assisting training:
- Mail out course dates and information
- Call partners and potential participants regarding programmes
- Support course preparation
- Preparing and updating CV’s for users
- Preparing job search templates and information
PA Duties:
- Manage Directors inbox
- Organise email contacts into cloud database
- Manage diary appointments and share with team
Hours
Mon – Thurs, 10am – 4pm.
Knowledge
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning organisation clients and files.
- Handling SFA (Skills Funding Agency) paperwork.
- Experience in college or training centre environment and paperwork.

Role Description
To support the Business Development Director on the delivery of core services, contribute to the planning, co-ordination and delivery of Business Development activities.
Responsibilities
Main Activities:
- Check funding alerts daily and consult with director on progressing
- Support grant applications and tenders
- Manage and complete end of project evaluation reports to funders
- Undertake research and development to support with Business Development.
- Research and deliver intelligence that will inform proposition development for new projects.
- Support with general activities where necessary, for example preparing for and supporting events, funding visits and meetings etc in line with project development and engagement.
- Managing and organising development calendar.
- Contribute ideas in staff meetings
- Complete special projects as required by Director
- Networking management and attendance
- Support with organisation compliance and reporting
Assisting Projects:
- Assisting with venue sourcing, preparations and screening
- Build relationships with delivery partners

Mon – Thurs, 10:00am – 4pm.

- Capacity and aptitude to undertake research and collate information as required.
- Ability to translate AFS brief into saleable information for funders.

An individual who personally want to make a difference in the lives of young people and adults. You will be empathetic and understanding of the circumstances of those in your care offering one to one support along with in class support.

- Engage and recruit own case load of clients using A fresh starts database of partners
- Assess and establish the reasons behind personal barriers and underachievement
- Consult with AFS team as to the reasons for behind personal barriers and underachievement

- Keep detailed records of attendance and punctuality

- Assist with confidence-building exercises
- Support mentees 1:1 and in class as part of a structured programme of mentoring
- Involved in safeguarding and child protection

Knowledge
- Not necessarily qualified in but have understanding of NLP (Neuro linguistics programming), and CBT cognitive behavioural therapy.

- 2 years minimum occupational experience as a mentor.
