We deliver our services in the form of mobile intervention sessions consisting of surgery’s run at various locations across the county, short work experience programmes, one day workshops and one to one drop-in information sessions.

 

Role Description:

The Administration assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services by implementing administrative systems, procedures and policies and monitoring projects in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

 

Responsibilities

Main Activities:

  • Creating and amending documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Type and maintain correspondence, reports, databases and other documents
  • Create and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices
  • CRM database & relationship management
  • Answer telephone and take appropriate messages
  • Reception duties such as greeting visitors and register their visit accordingly
  • Open and distribute the mail
  • Take minutes at meetings
  • Distribute minutes
  • Coordinate repairs to office equipment
  • Organisation diary management, managing key dates: insurance renewals, membership renewals etc
  • Support general office administration
  • Maintain manual and cloud files
  • Support with organisation compliance and reporting 

 

Assisting training:

  • Mail out course dates and information
  • Call partners and potential participants regarding programmes
  • Support course preparation
  • Preparing and updating CV’s for users
  • Preparing job search templates and information

 

PA Duties:

  • Manage Directors inbox
  • Organise email contacts into cloud database
  • Manage diary appointments and share with team

 

Hours

Mon – Thurs, 10am – 4pm.

 

Knowledge

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning organisation clients and files.
  • Handling SFA (Skills Funding Agency) paperwork.
  • Experience in college or training centre environment and paperwork.

Role Description

To support the Business Development Director on the delivery of core services, contribute to the planning, co-ordination and delivery of Business Development activities.

 

Responsibilities

Main Activities:

  • Check funding alerts daily and consult with director on progressing
  • Support grant applications and tenders
  • Manage and complete end of project evaluation reports to funders
  • Undertake research and development to support with Business Development.
  • Research and deliver intelligence that will inform proposition development for new projects.
  • Support with general activities where necessary, for example preparing for and supporting events, funding visits and meetings etc in line with project development and engagement.
  • Managing and organising development calendar.
  • Contribute ideas in staff meetings
  • Complete special projects as required by Director
  • Networking management and attendance
  • Support with organisation compliance and reporting

 

Assisting Projects:

  • Assisting with venue sourcing, preparations and screening
  • Build relationships with delivery partners

Role description

To support A Fresh Start develop opportunities for Adults and young people,  by building a pool of employers and recruitment services in and around Hertfordshire.

 

Responsibilities

This role will require all aspects of recruitment work, including sourcing work placement opportunities by cold calling employers to arranging interviews, follow ups and feedbacks.

  • Sourcing and placing candidates into employment.
  • Undertake necessary research and use telephone and direct marketing to identify and engage with employers to increase work placements opportunities in the target location.
  • Meet with employers to promote understanding and benefits of work placements
  • Promote A Fresh Start services to employers.
  • Work towards contract targets and key performance indicators.
  • Keep abreast of all future recruitment initiatives.
  • Identify and respond to seasonal trends and be able to forecast recruitment drives.
  • Sift candidates CV’s and present these to recruiting employers.
  • Deliver first class customer service to employers and clients.
  • Gain local knowledge from internal colleagues and external partners as to potential redundancy situations and new companies coming into the area, which may generate opportunities for A Fresh Start candidates.
  • Build relationships with external agencies including employers, youth and adult representative organisations; local authorities and strategic partnerships.
  • Work with our partners and internal colleagues to share best recruitment practices for clients.

Role Description

To deliver non – accredited and accredited programmes, working within the required qualification framework and awarding body guidelines, we seek someone who has the experience and capabilities to work with our target groups of disadvantaged learners and who is mobile to work in our varied locations.

The role will require flexibility to travel and the successful candidate will be required to have their own vehicle (travel expenses paid).

 

Responsibilities

  • transfer of skills in the required subject area
  • carrying out training needs analyses;
  • carrying out performance assessments to determine the skills gaps between current and desirable learner skill levels;
  • designing training programmes appropriate to the skills needed;
  • developing an appropriate mix of formal and informal development activities;
  • ensuring the learning environment and resources support learner needs;
  • designing course materials and other documents such as hand-outs, manuals and exercises;
  • preparing the learning environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment where appropriate;
  • delivering training programmes in both a formal (e.g. a classroom) or informal (e.g. floor-walking) setting;
  • supporting and coaching learners using learning technologies to deliver skills;
  • evaluating the effectiveness of training programmes and learning outcomes;
  • taking pictures during sessions (with those learners who have signed consent)
  • developing peer networks to keep abreast of current thinking;
  • maintaining appropriate records of learner development and resource allocation.
  • Marking submitted work and where relevant assessing (if qualified) learners work.


For accredited provision:

  • Mark, assess and compile learners work.
  • work with centre and learner to develop portfolio to awarding body required standard
  • work with learner to compile portfolio in the required format
  • submit completed portfolio ready for verification to relevant centre qualification coordinator

  • Awarding body requirements for each subject area
